This Project

A recent and unexpected opportunity arose for Actonbrickwork this month when we received a call from Thomas Armstrong Block Ltd., a company based in Yorkshire. We were tasked with constructing two walls at the Warrington fire testing facility. The first wall was made from 18kg solid blocks, while the second utilized 7kg dense blocks. Both walls successfully endured over two hours of testing, meeting the necessary regulations. This particular test was unprecedented, allowing Thomas Armstrong to promote their blocks as fire-resistant.
